Many of the patients we see, have seen many other practitioners, alternative options, health food stores, etc and have simply exhausted themselves trying for health solutions. Testing as you know can get expensive quickly. A few complicated tests can easily run one to two thousand dollars and not be covered by insurance regardless of who orders it. We do recommend people send in their results for Dr. Horn to review so he does not just reorder testing that is significant. We wish there was a crystal ball to give you exact details and advice on necessary actions, but so far that hasn’t happened. Many times, additional testing is required. Dr. Horn uses Metametrix Labs for specific tests that many times offer answers that are difficult to discern from standard tests. Here are some of the tests used.

Toxic Metals Urine Testing

WHY DETECT TOXIC METALS?

This question hardly needs answering for many people. The threat of environmental pollution, food, air and water contamination and from other sources is the highest it has been on the planet Earth for thousands of years, at the very least.

This is a valid concern of everyone today. Thousands of toxic chemicals, or chemicals of questionable safety, are spewed or dumped or even added intentionally to our air, water and food each and every day.
Detecting the levels of these chemicals is far more difficult than detecting toxic metals because there are thousands of them and almost all are difficult to analyze by chemical means. Since they are ubiquitous, assessing normal or baseline levels to measure from is also more difficult in many cases.
